Crossbell was the setting of an ongoing territorial war between the Republic of Calvard and the Erebonian Emperor. The city has grown into a vibrant city state that is one of the most important economic centres throughout the continent.
Lloyd Bannings, who spent three years exiled from Crossbell, returns to the town he grew up in to continue his brother’s legacy as well as join Crossbell Police Department. When he arrives, he discovers that his position has been transferred to Special Support Section. This is a section that handles small and unusual requests. He meets his new teammates, which include Elie MacDowell, the granddaughter of the mayor’s daughter; Randy Orlando, a womanizing former soldier; and Tio Plato, a young technology guru.
Lloyd and his fellow colleagues carry on their fight for a better city, though their organization is often ridiculed by media. When they are doing this, however, they slowly come face-to-face with the criminal corruption that has taken over the city. The residents aren’t aware of how deep the shadows around Crossbell City go…
