Wayward Strand is an emotionally and compassionate narrative is a result of many threads. The story takes place at an airborne hospital in Australia in the 1970s.
Wayward Strand lets you take the character of Casey Beaumaris, an adolescent girl who is admitted to the hospital for the first visit in a while. Through three days, she will explore the history of the vessel, the daily lives of the inhabitants as well as their connections to each other.
After arriving, she is able to go to the homes of the ship’s odd and delightful residents, choosing whom she would like to spend her time with, and learn about them. The staff can be shadowed and explore the space, or it is possible to explore the ship and discover the dark history of the ship.
The hospital’s residents comprise a variety of people, with a wide range of personality types – some charming and some different from others – each having their own dreams, desires, and imaginations. They can do whatever they want without regard to the character of the patient.
For the duration of the three days Casey is on board the vessel and the other passengers tell their stories as stories she will study. Everyone acts and behaves in accordance with their individual schedules. They discuss stories, news, opinions, arguing, joking, or even having a casual conversation with Casey.
Casey will look into the many tales of the airship and see how her actions create an effect on them.
